The Edmonton Oilers are getting a new look for the 2026-27 NHL season, and this time, black takes centre stage.
The team unveiled its Hometown Remix jersey on November 2, featuring a predominantly black design inspired by Edmonton’s industrial roots and the Oil Country identity.

The uniform is part of an NHL-wide collection developed with Fanatics, featuring special designs for all 32 teams. The project took two years to develop.
New Oilers Jersey Design Features:
The jersey features a black, oil-inspired base, a tonal Oilers crest and traditional striping, with orange accents providing contrast.
There are also several details celebrating Edmonton:
- Left shoulder: An “Oil Country” patch.
- Right shoulder: The return of the oil rig worker emblem.
- Hem: The words “This is Oil Country” framed by warning-style bars.
Brian Jennings, the NHL’s Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Partnerships and Club Strategy Officer, said, “Few symbols in sports carry the history, pride, and emotional connection of an NHL sweater.”
