Fanshawe Pioneer Village is Open

Fanshawe Pioneer Village is reopening on Saturday, July 11 to the public.

The museum is implementing various safety measures to ensure a safe visit, and this includes:

    • Please limit your visit to members of your household.
    • Masks are required at all times when interacting with other people, as well as in all indoor spaces, including our Visitor Entrance, washrooms and General Store and heritage buildings.
    • To help make everyone’s visit safe and enjoyable please keep a safe distance away from other visitors and households. Please wait until the group ahead of you is done looking at a building or display before you take your turn.
    • Allow yourself some extra time upon arrival and during your visit as we want to ensure everyone feels comfortable while at the Village.
    • Starting Saturday, July 17th, under Step 3 first floors of buildings will be open. Only 1 household is permitted into a building at a time, please be patient with other groups and wait until they have left a building to enter inside.
    • There is lots to see, including outdoor demonstrations and displays throughout the village, as well as our costumed staff and volunteers who are looking forward to talking with you during your visit!
    • At this time we are not planning any of our traditional seasonal events, but we will be planning enhanced programming days throughout the season. Be sure to keep an eye on the Enhanced Programming section of our website.
