Flair Airlines has announced a new nonstop route connecting Edmonton and Saint John, New Brunswick, giving passengers a way to travel between the two cities without changing planes in Toronto.
The service will begin on June 15, 2027, with flights operating twice weekly between Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and Saint John Airport (YSJ).
According to Flair, this will be the first-ever nonstop commercial air service between the two cities.
One-Way Fares Start at $199
Tickets are now on sale, with introductory fares starting at $199 CAD one way in either direction. The promotional price is available for a limited time.
Saint John is already one of Edmonton’s largest air travel markets in Atlantic Canada, according to Flair. However, most passengers flying between the cities currently connect through Toronto.
The new service removes that connection, offering a more straightforward journey for people visiting family, travelling for work or planning a vacation.
“We’re proud to be the first airline to connect Edmonton and Saint John nonstop, bringing two great Canadian cities closer together,” said Len Corrado, CEO of Flair Airlines.
A New Connection Between Western and Atlantic Canada
For Albertans, the route provides direct access to Saint John, a starting point for exploring the Bay of Fundy, historic coastal communities and southern New Brunswick.
Travellers heading in the opposite direction can explore Edmonton’s festivals and river valley, with the Canadian Rockies also accessible from the Alberta capital.
Saint John Airport President and CEO Court Edeburn called the announcement an important development for the region.
“Direct access to Edmonton opens new opportunities for tourism, business and families travelling between Atlantic and Western Canada,” Edeburn said.
