The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, known for its vibrant live comedy performances in outdoor settings, has announced its initial lineup for 2024.

Expanding beyond its initial launch as a COVID-safe event in Edmonton in 2021, the festival has shown remarkable growth, expanding to Calgary in 2022 and adding Halifax and Vancouver in 2023. This expansion continues in 2024, as the festival will revisit Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, and Vancouver and debut in Winnipeg, London, Ottawa, and Spokane, WA.
Headlining acts for 2024 Halifax, Winnipeg, Ottawa and London festivals include acclaimed comedians such as Nate Bargatze, Gerry Dee, Derrick Stroup, and Bill Burr.
Bargatze, dubbed “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up” by The Atlantic Magazine and a “Rising Star” by CBS Morning, is a Grammy-nominated comedian with global acclaim. Gerry Dee, famous for his roles in “Mr. D” and “Family Feud Canada”, and Derrick Stroup, noted for his unique comedic style, will also be joining the lineup.
Bill Burr, an Emmy and Grammy-nominated comedian, is recognized as a leading voice in comedy, achieving success in television, film, and on stage. His podcast, “Monday Morning Podcast,” is highly popular, and his film “Old Dads” was a top performer on Netflix.
Winnipeg’s Assiniboine Park will host the event from July 19 to 21, featuring artists like Bill Burr on July 20th and Nate Bargatze, Gerry Dee, and Derrick Stroup on July 21st.
London’s Harris Park will see similar lineups on July 19th and 21st. Ottawa’s Lebron Flats will feature performances on August 10th, and Halifax’s Garrison Grounds on August 9th will also enjoy the comic stylings of Bargatze, Dee, and Stroup.
The festival lineup for Calgary and Vancouver is yet to be announced. Edmonton Festival will see Bert Kreischer, Whitney Cummings, and Steph Tolev as headliners.
Early bird access begins on Thursday, December 7 at 10 am local, and tickets go on sale for the general public on Friday, December 8 at 10 am local.
