The large-scale frozen attraction will make its Montréal debut during the 2026-27 winter season at Espace 67 in Parc Jean-Drapeau, bringing towering walls of ice, illuminated chambers and walk-through tunnels to the city.

Unlike conventional ice sculptures, Ice Castles creates entire environments that visitors can explore. The structures are built using hundreds of thousands of icicles, individually placed by ice artists to create frozen passageways, towering formations and cavern-like spaces.

The attraction is also known for its colourful LED lighting, which transforms the ice structures after dark. Across its North American locations, Ice Castles has featured frozen thrones, ice slides, sculptures and fountains.

The company announced its arrival with a playful message to Montréal residents:“We heard you know a thing or two about winter… so we thought we’d bring you something magical.”
The Montréal installation adds a Québec destination to an attraction that has previously operated in Canadian cities, including Edmonton and Winnipeg.

For visitors, the experience will centre on exploring the ice structures on foot, passing through tunnels and illuminated chambers. Each installation is constructed for the winter season, with weather playing an important role in when the attraction can open.
