Calgary’s beloved holiday tradition, Zoolights, presented by Olympia Trust Company, is back and brighter than ever in 2024.

With over one million dazzling lights, nearly 250 intricate light figures, and a captivating new arctic aurora theme, this year’s event promises to be a memorable experience for visitors of all ages.
Running for seven weeks, Zoolights offers a festive, family-friendly atmosphere that has become an essential part of the holiday season for many Calgarians.
What is New in 2024:
The 2024 edition of ZOOLIGHTS introduces several exciting new features and themed areas:
- The Festive Forest: Interact with playful elves as they prepare for their festive show, and capture memories with an “Elfie Selfie” near Santa’s sleigh.
- Lemur Tales: Experience a Madagascan forest through art installations and educational displays that shine a light on lemur life.
- Discovery Bridge: Witness a stunning light show with patterns beautifully reflecting onto the water, creating a mesmerizing effect.
- Savannah Sparkle: Explore African themes under the shimmer of red, yellow, and green lights, featuring a rhythmic drum display.
- Aurora Gardens: A walk through a polar setting under the dance of the auroral lights with a glowing polar bear installation.
- Merry and Bright Tree Trail: A path lit with vibrant ground lights and a synchronized light display choreographed to holiday music.

- Snow Globes: Private Snow Globe rentals allow for intimate gatherings in a twinkling setting. The base price is $180, with meal upgrades available—$110 for the Enchanted Winter Feast, $60 for the Decadent Holiday Package, and $40 for the Cozy Cookie Package.
- Carve ‘N’ Go: Enjoy pre-ordered meals at Kitamba Café featuring Chef Carved Alberta Striploin or vegetarian Chickpea Curry, available for $40.95.
- Festive Brunch: Available on December 22 and 29 at Safari Lodge, offering a full holiday-themed menu with prices at $69.95 for adults, $43.95 for children, and $67.95 for seniors, while infants dine free.
- Additional Activities: Beyond the new attractions, visitors can enjoy ice skating, axe throwing, and a variety of festive treats throughout the zoo.
