Royal Ontario Museum Reopens on July 9th

Royal Ontario Museum is reopening on Thursday, July 9 to Members and Saturday, July 11 to the public.

The admission will be through timed tickets which will be available online.

    The museum is implementing various safety measures to ensure a safe visit, and this includes:

    • mandatory face masks for all visitors and staff.
    • Select areas of the museum like The Bat Cave, CIBC Discovery Gallery and Patrick and Barbara Keenan Family Gallery of Hands-on Biodiversity will remain closed.
    • Daily tours and touchable interactives will be temporarily unavailable
    • Coat check is closed
    • Food and drink will not be permitted inside the Museum.
    • Water fountains will remain closed.

    What: Visit Canada’s largest museum, of both natural history and world cultures.

    The Museum’s permanent galleries will be open, including the ROM-original installation Florals: Desire and Design. Further information on special exhibitions—including the return of the beloved Winnie-the-Pooh: Exploring a Classic and the opening of the new ROM-original exhibition The Cloth that Changed the World: India’s Painted and Printed Cottons—will be announced soon.

    Where: 100 Queen’s Park, Toronto

    Both the Weston Entrance on Queen’s Park and entrance to the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal on Bloor Street West are open

    When: Thursday, July 9 to Members and Saturday, July 11 to the public.

    Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:30 pm

    How much:

    Time-based tickets will be on sale July 6 for Members and July 7 for the public.

    Adult: $23.00
    Child (4 – 14): $14.00
    Senior (65+): $18.00
    Student (with valid student card): $18.00
    Youth (15 – 19): $18.00
    Infant (0 – 3): Free

    Tickets must be purchased online
