The Saskatoon EX, Saskatchewan’s largest summer event, is returning to Prairieland Park from July 30 to August 6, 2026.
Saskatoon EX
The eight-day fair will run daily from noon to midnight, with indoor exhibits closing at 11 p.m. Visitors can look forward to midway rides, nightly concerts, family entertainment, agricultural attractions, shopping, fair food, and synchronized fireworks.
Saskatoon EX Kick-Off Parade:
Start the celebrations early at the Saskatoon EX Kick-Off Parade on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 10 a.m. The annual community parade travels through downtown Saskatoon, beginning at 24th Street and Spadina Crescent East before following 4th Avenue and 20th Street and returning along Spadina Crescent East.

What’s new this year:
The 2026 Saskatoon EX introduces a colour-coded entrance system to make navigating the grounds easier. Visitors can enter through the Red, Green, Orange, Teal or Gold gates, with each colour corresponding to a different location around Prairieland. The Red Gate is at Sports On Tap, the Green Gate is at Ruth Street and Lorne Avenue, the Orange Gate is beside the EX Police Station at the bus loop, the Teal Gate serves the main Prairieland parking lot, and the Gold Gate is located between Hall A and the SaskTel Grandstand.
Expanded shade and rest areas will make it easier to take a break from the summer heat. The Canopy is a 22,000-square-foot covered gathering area west of Kidsville where visitors can sit, enjoy refreshments, and stay close to the midway action. New shade sails have also been installed near the Green Gate, while sunscreen and rain ponchos will be available at the Information Booth.
Two new container bars, The Prairie Tap and The Stockyard, will serve cold drinks in relaxed gathering spaces. Other additions include the Global Rhythms Dance Series in Summer Faire Hall and Midway Melodies, an open-air karaoke experience where visitors of all ages can join the summer singalong.
Each evening will conclude with a fireworks display synchronized to a musical soundtrack.
Musical Entertainment:
Saskatoon Ex
One of the highlights of the fair is the nightly music series at the SaskTel Grandstand. The SaskTel Grandstand will present seven major concerts and the annual Crash ‘N Bash Demolition Derby. Grandstand gates open at 6 p.m., with concerts beginning at 7:30 p.m. The concerts are included with general admission, while optional premium seating upgrades are available.

The licensed Kickin’ Horse Saloon offers additional live music for visitors aged 19 and older. The Saloon offers live music, covered picnic-table seating, and food from the neighbouring Bourbon Barrel Bar-B-Que, making it a convenient pre-show or after-party spot for SaskTel Grandstand concerts. The Saloon opens at 4 p.m. on July 30, July 31, and August 4 to 6, and at noon during the August long weekend from August 1 to 3. Performances begin as early as 1 p.m. on long-weekend dates and 4:15 p.m. on other days, with evening headliners generally taking the stage at 9:15 or 9:30 p.m. The 2026 lineup includes The Diggers, WANNABE, The Real Canadian Superband, PRISM, TOQUE, Dixie Hiway, The Gecko Band, and Psycho Love, with several daytime and evening performances included with general admission.
Midway:

The main midway offers rides for different ages and thrill levels, including the Giant Wheel, Himalaya, Mach 3, Mega Drop, Orbitor, Pharaoh’s Fury, Polar Express, Remix, Ring of Fire, Star Dancer, Swing Tower, Wave Swinger and Tilt-a-Whirl. Kidsville provides smaller rides designed for younger visitors.
FunTagg cards and wristbands replace traditional paper ride tickets. Visitors can load ride credits, tap at each attraction, and reload their card or wristband at FunTagg kiosks throughout the grounds. Ride credits cost $10 for 14 units, $30 for 58 units or $60 for 136 units.
A Superpass includes general admission and a Ride-All-Day wristband for one day. Limited FastPass upgrades will also be sold on-site, providing quicker access to participating rides but not including fair admission.
For Kids:

Children six and younger receive free admission every day. The Co-op Family Fun Zone in Hall E will feature stage shows, character appearances, meet-and-greets and interactive activities included with admission.
SuperDogs returns with Fairy Tails, a high-energy production featuring canine athletes, stunts and storytelling. Performances take place daily at 2:30, 4:45 and 7 p.m., with bonus shows on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 8:45 p.m.
Things to Do This August in Saskatchewan
Chase and Marshall from PAW Patrol will appear in No Harm on the Farm, an interactive show that uses music, games and audience participation to teach children about home and farm safety. Shows take place daily at 3:15 and 6:30 p.m., with separate PAW Patrol meet-and-greets at 1:30 and 5:30 p.m.
Michelangelo and Raphael from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will meet visitors daily at 12:30, 4:15 and 7:45 p.m. Kids Adventure Day on July 31 will also feature a mascot parade at 3:30 p.m., led by Doo Doo the International Clown and featuring the EX’s new mascot, Skamper the Squirrel.
SaskMilk Ag Pavilion:
The SaskMilk Ag Pavilion brings farm animals, agricultural demonstrations and hands-on activities into the city. Children ages four to 10 can compete in tractor pedal races, while Wander’s Tiny Farm allows families to meet and feed a heifer, goats, sheep, rabbits and chickens.
Saskatchewan shepherd Jared Epp and his trained Border Collies will demonstrate how working dogs use voice and whistle commands to manage sheep. From August 3 to 6, visitors can also meet Gert, SaskMilk’s interactive demonstration cow, and learn about traditional and modern milking methods.
Fair Game invites up to 100 players to answer agriculture-themed trivia questions using their phones, with prizes available during the final round. The pavilion also includes exhibits about animal care, food production, modern farming and Saskatchewan agriculture.
Indoor Entertainment:
Spotlight Theatre connected by The Wireless Age offers air-conditioned seating and family entertainment in Hall C. Wayne Lee will perform an interactive comedy hypnosis show daily at 3, 6 and 8:30 p.m.
Northern Lights: A Magic & Circus Spectacular combines illusions, comedy, circus skills, LED performances and visual effects. Shows take place at 1:30, 4:45 and 7:30 p.m., while Doo Doo the International Clown performs at 12:45 p.m.
Outdoor Entertainment:
XPogo Stunt Team; Saskatoon EX
The midway will feature several high-energy outdoor shows. XPogo Stunt Team will perform extreme pogo tricks from July 30 to August 2, while Cirkus Zirkus brings acrobatics, juggling, contortion, aerial performance and comedy from August 3 to 6.
iFlip Aerial Acrobats will perform flips, strength routines and precision stunts daily at 1:30, 4 and 6:45 p.m. Outlaw FMX will bring motocross riders, backflips and aerial tricks to the area west of the grandstand at 2, 4:30 and 7:15 p.m.
The Mardi Gras Parade travels through the midway every evening at 6 p.m., led by Doo Doo the International Clown and The Crawdaddios. Visitors can also watch for roaming performances by MJ.YXE, Dan the One Man Band and other street entertainers.
Sunday’s Crash ‘N Bash Demolition Derby combines vehicle collisions and metal-crushing action with performances by Longshot. Grandstand gates will open at 6:30 p.m. for the derby, and visitors are encouraged to arrive early because seating fills quickly. Rush seating and standing areas are included with admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors seeking an upgraded experience can purchase reserved Best Seat tickets or FanZone+ access.
Summer Faire Hall and Market Square:
Summer Faire Hall provides an air-conditioned space for art, culture and history. The Saskatchewan Art Showcase includes fine art, photography, traditional crafts, Indigenous and Métis artifacts, historical collections and daily artisan demonstrations, with nature and wildlife photographer Deborah MacEwen featured in 2026.
Market Square in Hall D will be open daily from noon to 11 p.m. Visitors can browse products and services from local and international vendors, shop for unique gifts and discover items that may not be available from conventional retailers.
Fair Food:
Food remains a major part of the Saskatoon EX, with the 2026 menu combining traditional favourites and unusual new creations. Returning classics include warm glazed Spudnuts and Doukhobor Bread, while Waffle Pops offer chocolate-dipped waffles on sticks covered with Smarties, sprinkles or crushed cookies.

Savoury additions include the Seattle Dog with cheese, sauerkraut, jalapeños and grilled onions; deep-fried Brisket Bombs filled with brisket, cheese and potato; the Japanese Waffle Burger; Garlic Parmesan Twisted Pickles; Montreal Deli Pickle Poutine; Korean BBQ Poutine and the pizza-inspired Twista-Roni.
Visitors searching for unusual sweet-and-savoury combinations can try the Fruity Pebble Corndog, Cinna-Dog, Cookies N Cream Korean Corndog or Poutail, which combines fries, gravy and cheese curds on a BeaverTails pastry. Other options include Cowboy Candy Mango Soft Serve, customizable Kona Ice and Tiger Sugar bubble tea, making its Saskatchewan debut at the EX.
Admission and Parking:
Advance online admission through July 29 costs $20 for adults ages 15 to 64, $16 for seniors, $14 for youth ages 11 to 14 and $12 for children ages seven to 10. Gate prices increase to $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, $17 for youth and $15 for children. Kids six and younger are admitted free, while a two-day admission pass costs $36 online through July 29 or $40 at the gate. Online purchases may be subject to transaction fees.
Opening Day on July 30 includes a $5 on-site admission discount for the first 500 Affinity Credit Union members. Kids Adventure Day on July 31 offers 75 ride units for $30, available on-site for all ages.
Fair Frenzy on August 4 offers $15 general admission for all ages. From 6 p.m. until closing, visitors can purchase an on-site $30 Twilight Ride promotion for unlimited rides.
Family Fun Day on August 6 includes free admission for visitors aged 65 and older. Children 10 and younger can purchase an on-site $30 wristband for unlimited rides on the Kidsville midway.
Preferred on-site parking costs $12 per vehicle and can be paid by cash or card. Vehicles carrying five or more people receive free preferred parking when space is available, and additional free parking is offered at Diefenbaker Park.
Superpass holders can use regular Saskatoon Transit routes to and from Prairieland for free during the EX. Children 10 and younger ride free on Wednesday, while seniors 65 and older ride free on both Thursdays.
From live concerts and agriculture showcases to interactive exhibits and family-focused programming, Saskatoon EX 2026 offers a wide-ranging and inclusive fair experience. With something happening every hour across the grounds, it remains a cornerstone event for summer in Saskatchewan.

Had a great fun. Kids are enjoy the whole days, we also experienced most of the thrilling and shows. Though we missed The Canine Circus; however, iFlip Ultimate Aerial show was awesome.
