The 32nd edition of the TD Sunfest Global Music and Jazz Festival will run from July 9 to 12 at Victoria Park. The four-day event, which remains free to attend, is expected to draw more than 115,000 visitors and will feature its largest program to date, with 52 musical ensembles from across the world.
Ahead of the main festival, Sunfest is partnering with London Brewing Co-operative to host a block party on May 23. The event, presented with support from TD Ready Commitment, will be held in the Old East Village neighbourhood and is intended to bring elements of the summer festival into a more localized setting.

Scheduled from 3 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., the block party will include live performances by Canadian acts Sonido Pesao, Sambaé and Polky, along with DJ sets by Hectorial. Organizers say the event will also feature food trucks, artisan vendors and a margarita bar operated by Los Vatos. Admission will be based on donations.
The announcement of the July festival lineup showcases a diverse international roster, featuring artists from regions including Africa, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean, as well as Indigenous communities from across Turtle Island. This year’s edition introduces performers from Taiwan, Benin, Serbia and Estonia.
Among the international artists confirmed are Almir y Daniel, Astro Bloc, BIM Benin International Musical, DOSI, Elida Almeida and Nano Stern. Additional acts include Systema Solar from Colombia, Puuluup from Estonia and Yeison Landero, also from Colombia, reflecting a strong presence of Latin American and African music traditions.

Canadian performers will also be featured prominently, with acts such as Okavango African Orchestra, Samba Squad and The Joy Lapps Project included in the national lineup. Musicians from Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia are scheduled to appear, offering a range of styles from jazz to contemporary world music.
Festival programming will be spread across five outdoor stages in Victoria Park, with performances scheduled throughout the day. In addition to music, more than 200 vendors are expected to participate, including food stalls, craft exhibitors and artisan businesses.

The upcoming block party is positioned as an early-season gathering aimed at building momentum ahead of the July event. By combining live music, food and local vendors in a smaller venue, organizers are seeking to engage the community while previewing the broader cultural experience associated with Sunfest.
