The fitness chain, Planet Fitness, says its High School Summer Pass program will return for a sixth year, offering free gym access to teenagers aged 14 to 19 across more than 2,900 locations in the United States and Canada. Registration is now open online, with access running from June 1 through August 31.

Per the news release, the program has grown steadily since it began, with the company estimating it has waived over $460 million in membership fees to date. The aim, it says, is to make fitness more accessible while encouraging younger people to focus on both physical and mental well-being during the summer months.

Participants who sign up will be able to use the full range of gym equipment, including strength and cardio machines, and access stretching areas. The program also includes free sessions with certified Canadian fitness trainers and use of the Planet Fitness mobile app, which offers a library of on-demand workouts.

This year introduces a partnership with Gymshark. Teens who enroll will receive a discount code for the apparel brand after registering. The offer comes with standard conditions, including a validity period that runs until September 11, 2026.

There are some limits. Teens must use the specific club where they register and, if under the age of majority, need a parent or guardian to sign up with them.
