Train and REO Speedwagon Coming to Toronto This July on Co-Headlining Tour; Presale Jan 31

This summer, fans of classic rock are in for a treat as the iconic bands Train and REO Speedwagon unite for a co-headlining tour. Titled the Summer Road Trip 2024 Tour, this musical journey will showcase the combined talents of these diamond-selling groups, promising an electrifying night of music.

The tour is set to feature a mix of Train’s globally acclaimed hits and REO Speedwagon’s timeless classics, appealing to a broad range of music enthusiasts.

The two bands, with their impressive track records of over 50 million albums sold worldwide, 32 Billboard Hot 100 songs, and 28 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, are known for their dynamic and energetic live performances.

The tour, produced by Live Nation, will cover 44 cities. It begins on July 8 in Somerset, WI, at Somerset Amphitheater and will travel through major cities, including Chicago, New York, Houston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, concluding on September 11 in Phoenix, AZ, at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre.

The band will play the Budweiser Stage in Toronto on Saturday, July 20.

They will be joined by special guest Yacht Rock Revue.

Train, known for its multi-GRAMMY Award-winning and diamond-selling status, began its journey in San Francisco in 1994. The band boasts a rich discography including hits like “Meet Virginia” and the double-GRAMMY-winning “Drops of Jupiter.” Frontman Pat Monahan is also known for his endeavors outside music, including his award-winning wine portfolio, Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co, which supports charity.

REO Speedwagon, led by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, has been a staple in the rock scene since its formation in 1967. The band’s seminal album, Hi Infidelity, with hits like “Keep On Loving You,” is a testament to their enduring appeal. REO Speedwagon is also known for its philanthropic efforts and recent Las Vegas residency.

Tickets for this must-see tour will be available starting January 31, with general sales opening on February 2.
