You can’t get much closer to nature than out on a trail with snowshoes on your feet. And Revelstoke Snowshoe Company can help you get there. 2. Snowmobiling

Revelstoke is at the front of the growing snowmobiling scene, so it’s the perfect place to get into the sport. Also making it perfect is the 12-18 m annual snowfall, varying terrain for all skill levels, and moderate temperatures. Check out one of the many providers for rentals and guides to get you started. 3. Fat Biking

Snow on the ground doesn’t mean bike tires are useless. Fat biking allows you to ride all year long. While the sport is fairly new to Revelstoke, there are still opportunities to help get things rolling. Wandering Wheels can hook you up with rentals and point you towards the greenbelt where the locals go. Details

4. Dogsledding

1. Mount Revelstoke National Park

It’s the park to hit any time of year, but it really shines in winter. Mount Revelstoke’s ski jump was one of the first in Canada and is internationally-renowned as one of the world’s best natural jump – imagine the thrill of flight as you stand at the top. It’s also the home to the only mountain in the national park system that you can summit just a short walk from your car. Details

Hand-crafted beer made in small batches with all natural ingredients…it’s no wonder they were named 2017’s Canadian Craft Brewery of the Year. Named after the mountain that dominates the Revelstoke skyline, the beer is always a local favourite. The new tasting room is open Monday-Saturday, with brewery tours every day at 4:00. Details

4. Nordic Ski Club Cross Country Ski Races

Each year, the Nordic Ski Club holds two cross country ski races. While the 2020 dates have not yet been released, they usually take place in January each year. Come see the best of the area head out as a mass start and watch as the top skiers get ahead of the pack. Details

1. Revelstoke Museum & Archives
