10 New Restaurants to Checkout in Calgary This May

April and March were busy months for restaurant openings in Calgary. So, in May, there are many new and delicious menus to taste and many new restaurants in Calgary are popping up all over the city. So, no matter where you live in Calgary, there is probably a new eatery near you.

You may notice a few trends, too. There were two new pizza place openings in Calgary this past spring. And the city saw the opening of a few new cocktail bars.

Bussin

Introducing, Calgary’s newest old-school diner. Bussin is a modern and very pink (see the interior of Bussin) take on the diner experience. They offer all the classic menu items like burgers, shakes, and fries, but use only the freshest ingredients. All the beef burgers are smash burgers, while their chicken burgers range from flame-grilled, the hand battered, to buttermilk battered.

Sinatra’s Pizza

Sinatra’s, one of Calgary’s newest eateries, is focused on creating some of the best pizza in the city. The new pizzeria has a delectable list of pizza topping combinations. “The Calgarian,” for example, is a next-level ham and pineapple pizza with mozzarella, crushed tomato, AND capicola. But that is a divisive pizza flavour, so if ham and pineapple isn’t your style, try Sinatra’s “Special,” “The Mac Daddy,” or the “Hot Boy.”
