Both of the Calgary Zoo’s Harvest Dinners, the takeaway and dine-in options, offer a savoury vegetarian entrée option. So, enjoy this pre-made dinner in the comfort of your own home, or on the Zoo grounds, with the option to purchase admission for the rest of the zoo! No matter how you decide to dine, the vegetarian entrée includes cauliflower steak with chimichurri, polenta, broccolini, squash, and grape tomatoes. The other options on the menu also include some gluten-friendly varieties.

The Hawthorn Room (Vegetarian)
The Fairmont Palliser’s Hawthorn Room has big things planned for Thanksgiving 2023 in Calgary. The downtown restaurant and hotel will offer their turkey dinners to-go, as well as an in-person three-course dinner. The Thanksgiving dinner menu is prix fixe, but available as a vegetarian menu!

Sunterra Market (Vegetarian)
Sunterra Market is a reliable holiday favourite in Calgary for many reasons. First, Sunterra is always prepared for every holiday with their three-course feasts. Secondly, these feasts always include the freshest ingredients. And vegetarians or non-turkey-lovers can enjoy Sunterra’s inclusion of a vegetarian meal. This Thanksgiving, that option includes cauliflower steak with bean and vegetable ragout, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, stuffing, and cranberry sauce.

This upscale restaurant does offer some meat dishes, but most of its menu is “vegetable-anchored”. This means you can enjoy a Thanksgiving Brunch with plenty of vegetarian dishes. They have not yet announced a Thanksgiving menu but book a table for their weekend brunch as you are sure to enjoy a classic brunch with all the trimmings of a Thanksgiving Table. Their full menu is available during brunch hours.
