Edmonton Folk Music Festival
The Edmonton Folk Music Festival has announced that Mt. Joy will headline the event’s closing night on Sunday, August 10, 2025. The five-piece indie rock band consisting of Matt Quinn, Sam Cooper, Sotiris Eliopoulos, Jackie Miclau and Michael Byrnes last performed at the festival in 2018.
“Guests have come to expect a memorable performance on closing night and we are certain they’ll get just that with Mt. Joy capping off this year’s Festival,” said Terry Wickham, Festival Producer in a news release.
Planning for the festival is well underway, with the full lineup set to be revealed on May 28. Tickets will be available for purchase starting June 7.
Organizers are also inviting new volunteers to join the team, as the festival relies on more than 2,800 volunteers each year to bring the event to life at Gallagher Park. Vendor applications for both food and artisan market spaces are now open, with an emphasis on offering high-quality and diverse selections.
In addition, the festival is offering summer job opportunities in its administrative and production offices. Further details on volunteer roles, vendor applications, and employment opportunities are available on the festival’s website.
The 2025 Edmonton Folk Music Festival runs from August 7 to 10.
