On July 11 & 12, the city’s vibrant “Little India” transforms into a bustling bazaar of delights, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the rich and varied tapestry of South Asia from noon to 11 pm.
Across two dazzling days, experience classical dance, Bollywood fusion, bhangra, folk traditions, live bands, DJs, dhol, parade energy, and irresistible food and drinks. From Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, and Rajasthani Ghoomar to Bollywood rock, tabla beats, and house DJ sets, every hour brings a new surprise.
On Saturday, July 11, Gerrard India Bazaar bursts alive with Dipa Talukdar, Dashavtar, Desi Harmony, Krishna Leela, DesiTadka, Zunjaar Dhol Tasha Group, Powerpact, Bhangra, and Bollywood Rock Band.
On Sunday, July 12, the celebration deepens with Abhyas, Taal ICDJ, Surreal Music Band, Rhythm of Natyam, Kokila Filmy Fusion, Soul Feeders, The Band Destiny, Damanjeet Singh, Rhythm of Rishi, Rock n Fusion, Nritya Padakhep, and Akash Band.
The Bangladesh Pavilion returns this year to Rhodes Avenue, showcasing the country’s culture through folklore, music, dance, and traditional cuisine. Curated by Bangla Events GTA, it features Baul music, Alpana art, handcrafted goods, and iconic photo spots, offering an immersive experience of Bangladeshi heritage and community spirit.
Beyond the entrancing stage performances, the TD Festival of South Asia boasts an engaging array of activities.
If you have an appetite for shopping, the festival offers an exceptional marketplace for treasure hunters. Find your next favourite piece amongst South Asian crafts, fashion, and artwork. The festival streets are lined with stalls featuring unique clothing, intricate jewelry, and fascinating cultural artifacts that promise to be more than just a purchase but a memento of the experience.
Plus, at Riverdale Hub, there will be a special market by talented local makers. You can explore galleries, enjoy the rooftop garden, and soak up the vibrant energy of one of the city’s most celebrated summer festivals.
The festival doesn’t forget the foodies either! Nearly 30 member restaurants are set to serve mouth-watering traditional South Asian dishes to satisfy even the most adventurous palates. It’s an authentic taste of South Asia right in the heart of Toronto.
According to the organizers, the TD Festival of South Asia, taking over Gerrard St. E. from Glenside Ave to Coxwell Ave, is the biggest South Asian street party in North America.

Take the 506 Carlton streetcar, which travels along Gerrard Street East. The closest stop is Gerrard St East at Greenwood Ave., bringing you directly to the heart of the festival.
Road Closures:
Temporary closures will also affect sections of Rhodes Avenue, Craven Road, Ashdale Avenue, Hiawatha Road, Woodfield Road, and Highfield Road near Gerrard Street East. Vehicle access and parking will be restricted throughout the closure period. No vehicles will be permitted to enter or exit the road closure area during this time.
Vehicles left within the road closure area may be relocated by a courtesy towing service at the festival’s expense to a nearby street. If your vehicle has been moved, please call 311 or the Toronto Police non-emergency line at 416-808-2222 to confirm its location.
