Markham is getting a full weekend of racing, music and festival activity as the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy moves onto a new 12-turn, 3.52-kilometre temporary street circuit. IndyCar’s second-oldest street race makes its Markham debut this year after nearly 40 years at Exhibition Place in Toronto.

In 2025, the event generated more than $85 million for Ontario’s economy and welcomed over 160,000 visitors. This year, five racing series will contest eight races, alongside live music and Free Fan Friday.
Where is the racetrack:
The Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham will race on a new 12-turn, 3.52-kilometre temporary street circuit through downtown Markham between Kennedy Road, Enterprise Boulevard, Unionville GO tracks and Highway 407.

What to expect
- Five racing series: The NTT INDYCAR SERIES headlines Sunday, while the NASCAR Canada Series races Saturday. USF Pro 2000 and USF2000 will each run double-headers, joined by the Emzone Radical Cup Canada. Together, the five series account for eight races across the festival weekend.
- The Glorious Sons live: The multiple JUNO Award-winning Canadian rock band performs Saturday in 407 ETR Thunder Alley, approximately 15 minutes after the NASCAR Canada Series race, at roughly 6:20 p.m. The group, once described as “Canada’s Best Export” by the Washington Times, is included with Saturday and two-day admission.
- Ride the Track: Cyclists can take over the closed Markham Indy circuit on Friday, Aug. 14, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Ride the Track 2026 welcomes families, casual riders and experienced cyclists to pedal the course from the Markham Pan Am Centre while supporting The Children’s Breakfast Clubs.
- Family Fun: Beyond the racing, the Honda Indy will feature food and beverage vendors, Thunder Alley, the family-friendly Speed Zone and an air-conditioned cool-down area inside the Pan Am Centre. Unionville will also join the festivities with exotic and toy car displays, an “Indie” games exhibition, a racing simulator and a four-wheel slot car tournament.
Tickets, views and Friday access:
- Friday admission is free with a voluntary Make-A-Wish Canada donation. Fans can choose between viewing areas, while grandstands overlook Pit Lane, Turn 3, Remington Turn 5 and Turn 8.
- General admission costs $90 for two days, $75 Sunday and $50 Saturday. Children 12 and under receive free general admission with a ticketed adult. Grandstand and paddock tickets are extra.
Road Closures:

- Race weekend closures: Full road closures will run from Aug. 12 at 9 p.m. to Aug. 18 at 6 a.m., affecting several streets around the Markham Indy circuit.
- Main St. Unionville, Unionville Gate, South Unionville Ave., Enterprise Blvd., University Blvd., YMCA Blvd., Kennedy Rd. south of Highway 7, and Highway 407 interchange ramps will be impacted.
- Earlier closures: Bill Crothers Blvd. access on Enterprise Blvd. is closed until Aug. 18.
- Extended closures: Enterprise Blvd. between Andre De Grasse St. and Main St. Unionville, along with University Blvd., are scheduled to remain closed until an estimated Aug. 21 at 6 a.m.
- Local access: Some sections of Kennedy Rd., Main St. Unionville and Helen Ave. will remain open to local traffic only.

Ride The Track: $25
Pit and Paddock Passes are available for $230 and $85, respectively. A Pit Pass provides access to the pit lane during practice and qualifying sessions, giving fans an up-close view of the pit crews at work. A Paddock Pass offers entry to the Aviva IndyCar Paddock, allowing fans into the area where the drivers, teams and cars are before the on-track action.

Downtown Markham between Kennedy Road, Enterprise Boulevard, Unionville GO tracks and Highway 407.
Parking & Shuttles: Paid parking lots at the event location.
Indy weekend parking is also available at the IBM Lot, 8200 Warden Ave., and Markham Civic Centre, 101 Town Centre Blvd. Shuttle service begins at 8 a.m. each day and runs about every 15 minutes. Last shuttles leave at 6:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and around 4:40 to 4:45 p.m. Sunday.
