The new lineup of restaurants in Edmonton for spring is smaller but includes a great amount of variety.
This April, head out into the warmer air to get to know some of the new cafes, restaurants, and bars in the city. Over the last month or two, Edmonton saw the opening of two cafes, an authentic Indian eatery, an authentic Italian eatery, and an all-vegan spot!

Benaras Vegan Restaurant
There is now another place for exclusively vegan menu items in Edmonton with the recent opening of the Benaras Vegan Restaurant in Old Strathcona. The new Whyte Avenue eatery boasts appetizers, soups, salads, wraps, burgers, larger entrees, and desserts. Visit the new location this spring to find your new summer restaurant in Benaras!

Dining Car Café
With the recent grand opening of the Dining Car Café in CN Tower downtown, the busy Edmonton area received a new place for quick bites, coffee-to-go, and sweet snacks. The Dining Car Café comes to the city from the owners of the Waffle Bird restaurant and offers a classic café menu of coffee drinks, teas, soups, salads, and sandwiches.

Bar Henry
Downtown Edmonton’s new Bar Henry describe themselves as a “Northern Italian caffè & aperitivo bar.” This means they are open day and night to satisfy cravings of Italian cuisine.
They are a place for elevated appetizers, coffee and coffee drinks, and for an elevated atmosphere. The dining room was designed with comfort in mind and is a perfect place to relax over drinks.

Naan & Beyond
Naan & Beyond, a new south-end restaurant in Edmonton, aim to provide guests with an authentic Indian dining experience. Part of this includes a menu filled with several meat options, and several vegetarian dishes. These dishes are made with traditional Indian flavours and spices to pair each dish perfectly with their fresh naan.

Roam Café
Find Roam Café one block north of Jasper Avenue in a quieter part of downtown. They recently opened on the main floor of the office building with a menu of simple coffee, teas, and coffee or tea drinks. Their food menu rotates each week and includes comfort items for breakfast or lunch like soup or sandwiches.
