A Vegas-Inspired Wedding Chapel is Opening in Prince Edward County

Couples will soon be able to get legally married on Wellington Main Street in as little as 30 minutes, surrounded by pink velvet, disco balls, vintage florals and a jukebox spinning 45s.

Neon Chapel officially opens in Prince Edward County on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Created by wedding-industry veterans and couple Megan Craig and Ilon Tyan, the new venue draws on the small, theatrical wedding chapels of vintage Las Vegas, but packages the idea as a Prince Edward County getaway.

The chapel is located at 298 Wellington Main Street inside Mrs. Peachum’s County Getaway. The County’s official tourism site also lists Mrs. Peachum’s as a new Wellington space featuring Neon Chapel for micro-weddings and community activities.

How different is this from a conventional wedding venue?

The biggest difference is time and scale.

Neon Chapel accommodates weddings from two people up to 55 guests, with formats ranging from a half-hour ceremony to a five-hour wedding celebration. The idea is to bundle services couples would normally arrange separately, including the ceremony, coordination and, depending on the package, food, drinks, music and other wedding services.

That makes it particularly relevant to couples who want an actual wedding rather than a courthouse appointment, but do not want to organize a traditional full-day reception for 100 or more guests.

What does a wedding here cost?

The current pricing shows just how widely the experience can vary.

The Quickie is a 30-minute option priced at $1,500. A 60-minute Chapel Classic costs $2,500, while the two-hour County Takeover, combining the ceremony with a cocktail party, is $6,500.

At the other end is The Whole Damn Thing, a five-hour all-inclusive celebration priced at $18,000.

For couples comparing venues, the meaningful question is therefore not simply the room rental. It is how many outside vendors and separate bookings the selected package replaces.

Who is this for?

The aesthetic is deliberately not neutral. Red and pink velvet, disco balls, ornate vintage furniture, neon signage and retro details are part of the experience rather than temporary wedding décor.

That makes Neon Chapel a stronger fit for couples who already like the look than for someone hoping to transform a blank venue around a completely different theme.

It can also work for elopements and vow renewals, not just first-time wedding ceremonies. The venue says its founders bring significant experience to the new business, with Craig having more than 15 wedding seasons in planning and coordination and Tyan about a decade producing live events.

What is Mrs. Peachum’s?

The wedding chapel is only part of the Wellington address.

Mrs. Peachum’s County Getaway is being developed as a social space with cocktails, mocktails, light bites and community programming when weddings are not taking over the room. Its name references Mrs. Peachum from The Beggar’s Opera. The space has already begun hosting public programming, including a September dance party at the Wellington address.

This makes the project more unusual than a wedding venue that disappears behind closed doors between bookings.
