Liam is the top boy’s name in Alberta, taking the No. 1 spot from Noah, which is the third most popular name, while Oliver jumped to the second most popular name spot.
Zzayden, MaLhaar, Homeostasie appear amongst the unique names registered this year. Other names include those inspired by Marvel comics like Loki, Thanos, Captain, from Star Wars films — Kylo, Leia, Anakin, books of the Bible — Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, places like Ireland, Chicago, Venice, and outer space — Galaxy, Jupiter, Moon.
