Alice in Bloomland, a botanical exhibit inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, will run from February 1 to March 30, 2025. With 25,000 real blooms, larger-than-life floral displays, and immersive artwork, this indoor garden experience promises a magical escape from winter.
This indoor garden adventure promises to brighten the winter months with its striking orchid arrangements and immersive art installations. Reality bends and blossoms in a topsy-turvy experience where flowers and fantasy intertwine.
What to See and Do
- A Wonderland of Blooms: Step into an enchanting floral display featuring thousands of orchids and intricate botanical arrangements, transforming the RBG into a dreamlike world.
- Immersive Art Installation: Of Wonders, Wild and New showcases nine contemporary fibre artists who explore themes of scale, movement, and dreamlike wonder through textile-based creations.
- Playful Interactions: Discover life-sized pieces designed to blur the line between art and reality, inviting guests to step into a storybook scene.
- Imagination Playground: Kids (and kids at heart) can construct and create with foam blocks designed to encourage open-ended play.
- Makerspace Activities: Weekends and special dates (Feb 14, Feb 28, March 10-14) feature Alice in Bloomland-themed arts and crafts, allowing visitors to unleash their creativity.
Enhanced Experiences (Separate Tickets Required)
- Mad Hatter’s Tea Party (Thurs-Sun): For an extra touch of Wonderland magic, guests can indulge in a whimsical tea party at Hendrie Park’s Tea House. Running Thursdays to Sundays, this delightful experience features a spread of “Eat Me” treats, “Drink Me” teas, and carefully curated sandwich selections. Reservations are required for this enchanting afternoon tea.
- RBG After Dark (Feb 20 & March 20, 19+): The gardens take on an even more magical glow with Alice in Bloomland After Dark. This adults-only event (19+) invites guests to wander through the floral fantasy while enjoying live music, botanical displays, and themed food and drinks. Special tickets are required.

Escape into a world where orchids flourish, colours explode, and reality twists into something magical. Life-sized floral installations bring the surreal charm of Wonderland to life while the scent of thousands of blossoms fills the air.
Adding to the enchantment is Of Wonders Wild and New, a textile-based art exhibit. Featuring the work of nine international fibre artists, this exhibit reimagines Wonderland’s themes through fabric, texture, and scale, immersing visitors in a dreamlike experience.
