The program, called A&W Rewards, is now available across the country through the A&W mobile app and in-restaurant QR scanning.

Under the new program, customers receive 10 points for every dollar spent, based on the order subtotal before taxes and after discounts. Points can be accumulated through purchases made via the mobile app or by scanning a personalized QR code when ordering in person.

Once collected, points can be exchanged for a range of A&W items:

  • For 300 points, customers can choose items like a regular A&W Root Beer, small coffee, apple turnover, or a hashbrown.
  • At the 600-point tier, options include a Buddy Burger, small latte, or regular fries.
  • Higher-value items such as onion rings and the Mama Burger are available at 900 points.
  • At the top tier of 1,500 points, customers can redeem for items such as the Teen Burger, Chubby Chicken Burger, a Mama Burger Combo, or the Classic Bacon & Eggs Combo.

A maximum of three items can be redeemed per transaction, and points will expire 12 months after the month they are earned. The loyalty program does not apply to third-party delivery orders.

“Get ready to be rewarded, A&W fans! We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new loyalty program – something our guests have been asking for! Your incredible loyalty to your local A&W means the world to us, and we’re excited to finally offer a program that rewards you for every delicious visit,” said Angie Tsang, Director of Consumer Marketing at A&W in a news release.

A&W, founded in 1956, operates more than 1,050 locations across Canada.
