This sale involves the complete liquidation of their $25-million inventory as part of a strategic restructuring plan. KSV Restructuring Inc. serves as the proposal trustee in this process.
The history of Bad Boy Furniture traces back to 1953, when Mel Lastman, a charismatic Toronto appliance salesman and future mayor of Toronto, entered the business. His wife Marilyn played a pivotal role in his career, helping him secure a job and later buy the Heather Hill Appliance store. This led to the establishment of the first Bad Boy store in 1955. By 1990, the chain had expanded to over 40 stores. The brand’s image was further enhanced in 1991 by Mel’s son Blayne, who introduced the famous “noooobody” slogan. Mel Lastman’s died in 2021.
Infinity Asset Solutions is managing the sale to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for customers.
The staff at Bad Boy Furniture will be available to assist with inquiries and guide customers through the sale.
