This summer, fans of the blockbuster film Barbie are in for a treat as the movie’s score comes to life in a unique concert series across North America.
The tour, titled Barbie The Movie: In Concert, will feature the Barbie Land Sinfonietta, an all-women and predominantly women-of-color orchestra led by the talented Macy Schmidt. This special ensemble will perform the film’s music live at each of the 37 stops on the tour, starting on July 2nd in Tampa, Florida, and making its way through cities like St. Louis, Denver, Nashville, and Toronto, before concluding on August 18th in Wantagh, New York.
Orchestrator and Executive Producer Macy Schmidt, a Tony Award winner, will conduct the orchestra, providing an immersive musical experience that celebrates the film’s themes and vibrant aesthetic. The tour promises to be a memorable experience for Barbie fans of all ages, offering a chance to experience the film’s music in a live setting.
Tickets for the concert series will be available to the general public starting Friday, March 8th at 10 a.m. EST, with various pre-sales beginning on Tuesday, March 5th.
