Bed Bath & Beyond is back in Canada, but Canadians will encounter a different version of the familiar home retailer this time around.

The company announced Sept. 29 that Bed Bath & Beyond Canada is now Canadian owned and led, and has launched its new online store for shoppers across the country. Physical stores are also part of the plan, although customers will have to wait until late 2027 for those locations to begin opening.
For now, the relaunch is entirely online.
The Canadian operation is starting with approximately 6,000 products from more than 80 brands. Its assortment covers eight categories, with a particular emphasis on bedding and bath products. Shoppers will also find kitchen and dining products, décor, organization items, baby products and seasonal merchandise.
The company says the selection has been developed specifically for the Canadian market and includes established international names alongside Canadian brands. Products will also span different styles and price points.
Carol Deacon, president of Bed Bath & Beyond Canada, said the company is trying to build on Canadians’ familiarity with the retailer rather than simply recreate its previous incarnation.
“This homecoming isn’t about looking backward,” Deacon said. “It’s about taking a name Canadians already know and trust forward.”
That approach extends to how the company is positioning its product selection. Instead of promoting one particular aesthetic for the home, Bed Bath & Beyond Canada says it wants to provide enough variety for customers to put together spaces around their own needs and tastes.
“What makes a home feel truly yours is deeply personal,” Deacon said, adding that homes are shaped over time by the people who live in them, along with their routines, traditions and personalities.
The online launch is therefore only the first stage of Bed Bath & Beyond’s Canadian return. The company has confirmed that brick-and-mortar stores are expected to follow in late 2027, though the release does not specify how many stores are planned or where they will be located.
Canadians can shop the new online store starting Sept. 29.
