Toronto 
The Body Shop Canada, a subsidiary of the globally recognized beauty and cosmetics brand, has announced a significant restructuring effort which includes the closure of 33 of its retail locations across Canada.
This move comes as the company initiates a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada) to begin restructuring proceedings. The decision follows administrative proceedings initiated by its parent company in the United Kingdom, aiming to provide The Body Shop Canada with the opportunity to reassess its strategic direction and implement restructuring initiatives.
Currently, The Body Shop Canada operates 105 stores nationwide, all of which remain open. However, the restructuring plan includes the termination of online sales through its Canadian e-commerce platform and the closure of selected stores.
Liquidation sales are set to commence immediately at 33 affected locations, spanning from Bayview Village in Toronto to Village Green in Vernon.
