Yesterday was a flapjack-filled fiesta at the Calgary Stampede Tim Hortons Family Day.

Attendees were treated to a free pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m., a riveting variety show, and complimentary admission until 11 a.m. But the syrupy cherry on top?
The event smashed a Guinness World Records title for the most pancakes served in eight hours, flipping up a phenomenal total of 17,182!
Amid the bustle and the delightful sizzle of the griddles, Brittany, an official adjudicator from Guinness World Records, had the task of verifying the record. Fifteen pancakes didn’t make the cut and got the boot, but Calgary Stampede still managed to batter the old record by over 2,900, and that too in just about half the time!
The previous record of 14,000 pancakes seemed a mere hors d’oeuvre in comparison to the whopping 17,182 pancake feast served in the GMC Stadium Courtyard.
Calgary Stampede might not have matched Batter Blaster LLC’s record of 76,382 pancakes cooked in eight hours, but they definitely cooked up a storm of their own.
It was a flippin’ great day at @TimHortons Family Day 🥞
