Calgary Transit Temporarily Removing 25 Routes Due to Revenue Loss

Calgary Transit is reducing service hours by 30 per cent from the March 2020 levels effective May 25, 2020 as COVID-19 caused significant reduction in Calgary Transit’s revenue and ridership. The Calgary transit is also laying off  430 employees.

Changes effective May 25, 2020:

Calgary Transit Service hours will be reduced by 30 per cent from the March 2020 levels, this includes:

• Temporarily removing 25 routes
• Reducing the frequency of 30 routes during the weekday
• Reducing the frequency of 19 routes on the weekend
