Health Canada says the ceiling fan blades can detach during use, posing an injury hazard to consumers.

The affected products were made in China and sold by Home Depot. The company reported that 5091 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and 84,828 were sold in the United States. The fans under recall were sold from May 2020 to October 2020.

Health Canada says as of December 23, 2020, there are no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has received forty-seven reports of the blade detaching from the fan, including two reports of the fan blade hitting a consumer and four reports of the blade causing property damage.

Those who have purchased the fans should immediately stop using the fan and contact King of Fans (1-866-443-1291)for instructions on how to inspect your ceiling fan for defects. King of Fans will issue a replacement or refund if an issue is identified.
