Christmas Bird Count & Potluck Dinner
Get ready to embrace the festive spirit of birdwatching with the Orillia Naturalists’ Club’s annual Christmas Bird Count! This beloved tradition, part of the longest-running citizen science project in North America, invites bird enthusiasts of all levels to contribute to an essential winter bird census.
Team Leads will report results at a potluck dinner, to be held at St. Pauls Centre Banquet Hall (6-9pm). This citizen science initiative, organized by Birds Canada in partnership with the National Audubon Society, encourages people to count birds in their area to gather data for bird conservation.
