The Edmonton Radial Railway Society is bringing back its popular Christmas Streetcar for the holiday season.

This 45-minute, day time round-trip ride offers participants a unique holiday experience aboard a seasonally decorated streetcar as it travels across the High Level Bridge, connecting Strathcona and Government Centre Plaza.
Starting November 28, the streetcar will be available for private charters and public service rides on select dates, with tickets required for public rides.
The ERRS is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to preserving and operating Edmonton’s historical streetcars.
What to Expect:
The Christmas Streetcar ride offers a festive journey across one of Edmonton’s most iconic landmarks. The streetcar ride evokes the spirit of Edmonton’s past, as streetcars were a primary mode of transportation until 1951.

- Seasonal Decor: The streetcar is fully adorned with holiday decorations, creating a warm and festive atmosphere for passengers.
- Scenic Views: As the streetcar crosses the High Level Bridge, passengers can enjoy exceptional views of the river and Edmonton’s skyline, taking in the holiday lights. This 45 minute ride offers holiday cheer, Edmonton history, and unforgettable views.
- Pause on the Bridge: During private charters, the streetcar stops for a longer time atop the High Level Bridge for a small celebration, allowing for a longer enjoyment of the view.
- Complimentary Rides at Fort Edmonton Park: ERRS also operates free Christmas streetcar rides as part of Fort Edmonton Park’s Christmas Market.

Where:
The Christmas Streetcar ride departs from the Strathcona stop near the Old Strathcona Farmers Market and travels to the Government Centre Plaza.
- Departure Location: The primary boarding point is the Strathcona stop, located behind the Old Strathcona Farmers Market.
- Bridge Crossing: The ride includes a trip across the High Level Bridge, the world’s highest streetcar river crossing, spanning the distance between Strathcona and downtown Edmonton.

How Much: Tickets are $10 per person and are available exclusively online; infants on laps are free. Family passes are not offered.
