On June 21, recognize and celebrate the cultures and worldviews of Indigenous Peoples who traditionally stewarded the lands of amiskwaciy-wâskahikan, Beaver Hills House (Edmonton), through various experiences indoors and outdoors.

SCHEDULE:

  • 8:00 a.m.- Tipi raising and trappers’ tent build outside in partnership with Métis Child & Family Services

     

  • 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. – Opening prayer from Elder Langford and lighting of the Qulliq in the main lobby (free access)

     

  • 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Indigenous artisan market in the main lobby (free access)

     

  • 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. – Indigenous-inspired programming inside (included with Science Centre General Admission)

     

  • 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Free performances, activities, and Indigenous teachings outdoors

     

  • 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Free BBQ outside provided by Pembina
