Sinfonia Toronto opens its 28th season internationally acclaimed pianist Sheng Cai in Beethoven’s sparkling Piano Concerto No. 2, joyful, spirited, and performed by a soloist who has played with over 60 orchestras worldwide.
Maestro Nurhan Arman will also lead the orchestra in the world premiere of Ergir (Homeland) a piece rooted in ancestral memory by Jules Léger Prize-winning Canadian composer Vahram Sargsyan.The night closes with Beethoven’s beloved “Harp” String Quartet in a sweeping orchestral arrangement.
