Liberta Coffee Lab
The streets around Happy Beer Street have more to offer than breweries and distilleries, especially with the new addition of Liberta Coffee Lab! The new café on 99th Street offer a bright, airy, and comfortable atmosphere for enjoying their flavourful menu. That menu includes an assortment of classic and signature café drinks, pastries, cookies, sandwiches, and bagels.

Diced YEG
Diced is officially the newest café in Edmonton as they celebrated their soft opening and will host a grand opening on May 4th. Diced is also Edmonton’s newest boardgame café. They provide a large library of games for on-site rental to enjoy at the table with your meal. The menu offers enough for full meals, or simple snacks.

Mokha Coffee House
The newer parts of the Griesbach neighbourhood also have a new café to welcome. Mokha Coffee House is a Yemeni café with a fairly large dining area to accommodate groups, couples, or individuals. The Yemeni inspirations are shown through the architecture, the décor, the drinks, and the food.

Banh Mi Diddy Sandwich Shop
Downtown Edmonton has a new sandwich shop that is a must-try for anyone in the area. The new Banh Mi Diddy Sandwich shop is a perfect lunch spot for anyone at MacEwan or working in the area. Their banh mi (Vietnamese submarine sandwich) is also perfect for spring picnics. And while banh mi is the centre of the menu, Banh Mi Diddy also offers various sides and drinks. Plus, their sandwich bread is baked fresh every morning!

Tasty Truck Food Festival
Edmonton’s Tasty Truck Food Festival will be a free event to attend in the Ice District with live music and family fun set up around the trucks. This will be a two-day showcase of local Edmonton talent and the best of the city’s food trucks. These will be the food trucks you’re likely to encounter at many upcoming summer festivals or events.

UFest Ukrainian Arts Festival
UFest is all about sharing the Ukrainian spirit through several parts of the culture. Explore the food of the Ukraine with local vendors and food trucks set up around Borden Park, including Taste of Ukraine. Along with all the dining options, the festival will also have a stage with music and dance performances, kids’ activities, and an artisan market.

Mother’s Day Brunches, Dinners, & High Teas
Many of Edmonton’s restaurants, pubs, and hotels, offer special experiences each May for Mother’s Day. These dining events include meals for varying budgets, and different types of cuisine.

Dinos & Drinks – TELUS World of Science
Dinosaurs: The Exhibition is a current feature exhibit at the TELUS World of Science. They’re making the most of the exhibit with an adults-only event in May, June, July, and September. The dino-themed event will feature chances to mingle over games and activities, food, and drink. Guests will have full access to the Dinosaur exhibition throughout the event.

The Common Streetcar Cask Series
It is that time of year again when the Edmonton Streetcar gets back on the High Level for scenic rides across the river. That also means that The Common and local brewers or distillers are back with the Streetcar Cask Series. The Series kicks off on May 16 featuring Blindman & Dandy Brewing. The rides are scheduled weekly into June for now but continue until October.

Japanese Tea Ceremony
Visit University of Alberta Botanic Garden on a day trip, enjoy time in the gardens and participate in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Guests enjoy matcha tea, Japanese sweets, and an explanation of the customs that are part of the ceremony.
