1. The Flying Canoe Adventure

We invite you to discover the legend of La Chasse-galerie (The Flying Canoe), a combination of French-Canadian and First-Nation legends told by various lost canoeists along a lit trail in the Mill Creek Ravine. Enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides,  live music, hot chocolate, a snow slide and children’s activities. Adventure.

2.  Snowshoeing Through Time

Snowshoe by moonlight along Edmonton’s sensational River Valley loop. Our historical interpreters will guide you through an experience the voyageurs have taken in centuries past. Explore our 1846 Fort and discover what life was like for our early settlers in the winters of Western Canada. Finish the evening around the fire with hot apple cider and a horse-drawn wagon ride to the Train Station entrance.

7.  Swing ‘n’ Skate

Swing ‘n’ Skate features live swing, jazz and big band music in the City Room at Edmonton City Hall. Local hep-cats, the Sugar Swing Dance Club, will help put the boogie-woogie in your step along with local acts pumping out the jazzy beats. If you’d rather be outdoors, the music will be broadcast directly outside for the enjoyment of ice skaters on City Hall Plaza.
