1. Fernando Varela – A Live Television Extravaganza

World-renowned tenor and “America’s Got Talent” finalist Fernando Varela will be performing live for television broadcast at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina. Varela will be accompanied by members of the Regina Symphony Orchestra as well as the Halcyon Choir, and some surprise guests. Varela’s performance at the Conexus Arts Centre is part of a “live-to-tape” TV documentary project showcasing the singer’s remarkable success story.

This slapstick comedy spoof of the most famous Sherlock Holmes case will have you in hysterics.

2. A Soldier’s War

2. Ice Breaker Cheerleading and Dance Championships

The Ice Breaker Cheerleading and Dance Championships is a Saskatchewan Cheerleading Assosiation Sanctioned event involving approximately 1500 athletes and 2000 spectators from across the Province as well as Internationally. The 2016 Championships will consist of two sessions largely involving team performances, but there are individual routines as well. All routines will be judged and will receive awards based on their performances.

4. Songs to Sing to Get Free

How can we use our voices as poets, singers and storytellers to connect with people in our community? In this workshop we will bridge our differences as individuals through writing, sharing and workshopping our pieces for performance. We will practice an embodied performance to a rhythm we create together and play with beatboxing and melody. Find your voice and confidence while performing. Feel free to bring portable instruments. All experience levels welcome.
