1. Frosted Gardens
Mark your calendars and plan to attend this year’s Frosted Gardens, Saskatoon’s signature gallery showcasing ice carving excellence! Attend the Sneak Preview on January 29th to see carvers put finishing touches on the exhibit. Or come during regular hours and play a round of Snow Golf or make a Maple Sugar treat at the new Sugar Shack! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation.

2. Catherine MacLellan with Ellen Froese-Kooijenga
The daughter of revered Canadian songwriter Gene MacLellan, Catherine MacLellan returns to the Bassment accompanied by guitarist Chris Gauthier. Catherine will perform selections from her five albums, including the 2014 JUNO Award-winning The Raven’s Sun. Saskatoon’s Ellen Froese-Kooijenga plays the opening set.

The U of S Jazz Ensemble plays jazz standards and original compositions written for big band. Directed by Dean McNeill, the ensemble is made up of music and non-music majors currently attending the U of S.

1. Legal Follies Variety Show
The show consists of talented acts put together by the College of Law students at the University of Saskatchewan. Be prepared for unforgettable singing, dancing, comedy, and more! Moreover, all proceeds from this year’s Legal Follies are going to The Pink Wig Foundation, an incredible local organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families.
2. The Adventures of the Gingerbread Man
Follow the Gingerbread man as he makes narrow escapes from a cookie loving hound. You’ll also meet Barry the Blue Fairy, who will turn the Gingerbread man into a real boy if he performs three good deeds. Lots of characters to meet in this wacky, fun-filled show. Help the Gingerbread Man on his runaway adventure! Great for all ages!
3. Shadows of a Dancing Moon
Shadows of a Dancing Moon is a La Troupe du Jour professional theatre production. During World War II, a Saskatchewan soldier enters the ring to entertain the troops. Death looms ever closer. He’s surrounded by hungry people, at times touching and at others disturbing. And despite the world’s chaos, love persists outside time. This will be David Granger’s first written play to be produced professionally.Teen and adult Audiences.

3. Anniversary Bubble Ball Soccer Game
As part of the celebrations for #10yearsofturf, Saskatoon Soccer Centre Inc. will be hosting a Bubble Ballz Exhibition soccer game on Feb. 7th at the SaskTel Sports Centre. Watch players wear large, inflatable, transparent bubbles which allow them to bump into other players sending them rolling, bouncing and flipping! What a great way to spend our 10th Anniversary of the first ever game played on our indoor turf! The grass is always green at the SaskTel Sports Centre!

The Annual Hypothermic Half Marathon is a winter half marathon event held in beautiful winter cities across Canada.

The University of Saskatchewan Ukrainian Students’ Union is once again bringing you the best fund-raising party of the year: Zabava! Last year, our Zabava exceeding all expectations by raising $6000 for humanitarian aid for Ukraine, selling up to 250 tickets, and being broadcasted on local news. We hope to again reach those goals, and make this year even better!

5. Orchestra Open House
The SYO hosts young players in it annual Orchestra Open House. The participants get the chance to learn from professional musicians in sectional sessions, before joining the full orchestra in Quance Theatre for a part of the rehearsal. This event has been a transforming experience for many young musicians who find they have a hunger and aptitude for performing in an orchestra.
