Today at 6:30 pm, join fellow Torontonians of all backgrounds at Nathan Phillips Square for a free public gathering featuring food, live music, and breathtaking fireworks.
The organizers are inviting all to celebrate the diversity and inclusion that makes Toronto so vibrant and special by coming together and participating in the event.
Designed as a uniquely Canadian experience, Fast in the 6 invites everyone to come together and share a meal at sunset. The family-friendly event promises a delightful evening, with Maple Lodge Farms and Sobeys offering free meals and food trucks providing a variety of delicious eats.
The schedule for the evening is as follows:
- Food Service open to the public: 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm
- VIP reception: 6:30 pm
- Stage and site programming: 7:00 pm – 9:45 pm
- Rotunda Open for prayer: 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
- Breaking of the Fast: 8:02 pm (food giveaway begins)
- Fireworks: 9:30 pm – 9:35 pm
The stage schedule includes welcome remarks, speeches by Federal Minister Ahmed Hussen and Deputy Mayor Jennifer McKelvie, and performances by the talented headliner Amaal Nuux and Raz Hyder. The evening will conclude with a dazzling fireworks display from the top of City Hall.

Fast in the 6
What: Fast in the 6 is a free evening of food, fun and fireworks, coinciding with Ramadan, to celebrate the diversity of our great city through the common experience of the breaking of the fast. Founded by Toronto philanthropists, Dany and Lisa Assaf, the event affirms the city’s leadership as a major global centre of both social and economic opportunity.
