Per the news release, the Tims Credit Card, powered by Neo Financial and affiliated with Mastercard, offers users a range of benefits.

One notable advantage is that there is no annual fee associated with the card. Furthermore, cardholders can earn Tims Rewards Points on all their purchases. Per the news release, they can earn up to 5 points per dollar on most gas, groceries, and transit purchases. Additionally, when using the card at Tim Hortons restaurants and scanning for Tims Rewards, users can earn up to 15 points per dollar. This enables cardholders to enjoy faster access to free coffee, beverages, and food at Tim Hortons.

Markus Sturm, Senior Vice President of Digital, Loyalty, and Consumer Goods at Tim Hortons, stated that the decision to launch the credit card stemmed from the observation that nearly five million Canadians actively use the Tim Hortons app every month. The aim was to provide loyal customers with a means of earning Tims Rewards Points more rapidly through everyday spending.

Applying for, approving, and managing the Tims Credit Card is conveniently done through the Tim Hortons app on mobile devices. In addition to the regular version of the card, a special edition will be available to individuals residing in Canada who have limited or no credit history, such as students and newcomers.

The Tims Credit Card’s Purchase Credit Rate ranges from 20.99% to 25.99%, while the Cash Advance Rate falls between 22.99% and 27.99%. The specific rates for purchases and cash advances depend on the applicant’s credit application, credit profile, and province of residence. Detailed information can be found in the Cardholder Disclosure at the time of application.
