The Fiesta De Mayo promises to be a exciting weekend for the whole family and friends, offering something for everyone to enjoy featuring live music, delicious food, goodies, and family entertainment.
The organizers are planning a Flores de Mayo parade at night and a multi-cultural parade during the day.
Organized by IPEN, Santacruzan is set to be the highlight of the festival on Friday night, followed by DJs playing until midnight.
On Saturday and Sunday evenings, different bands will perform for all ages from 5 pm to 11 pm.
Tribal street dances will take place on Saturday morning at 10 am, with three major tribal performances.
The festival offers a day and night market, where visitors can sample the all-new menu prepared by over 50 food vendors. Children can also enjoy train rides on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7 pm, and family entertainment is available from 10 am to 5 pm, featuring performances from community talents from children to adults.
The festival will have more than 70 spots for vendors to participate.
To become a vendor, interested individuals can register at www.mykapitbahay.com and go to the Fiesta de Mayo section to fill out the required information. The organizers will contact the vendors to confirm their participation and provide further details.
Tickets for the event cost $10 and can be purchased at the door using cash only.
Fiesta De Mayo takes place from Friday, May 26 to Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Street Eats Market at 500 Progress Ave Scarborough.
