The largest Filipino Festival in Alberta returns on September 4th.

Fiesta Filipino
The annual Labour Day weekend festival representing the Alberta Filipino population is perfect for the whole family to attend. The weekend will feature live performances, cultural exhibits, Filipino cuisine and more!
The 12th edition of Fiesta Filipino will take place from September 4 to 7 at Eau Claire Plaza.
What to See & Do:
The free four-day festival celebrates Filipino-Canadian culture through food, music, dance and community programming. Organizers describe it as a celebration of “Filipino Cultural Excellence,” with more than 280 local performers, 15-plus food vendors and food trucks, and 25-plus exhibitors taking part.
Stage Performances:
The entertainment mixes international guests with Alberta talent.
Jessica Sanchez headlines Saturday, alongside a cultural showcase, the Fiesta Rock Band Showcase and the Power of Five OPM Showdown.
Sunday brings G-Force dancers Myka and Jeric, Jason Zamora of the Maneuvers, and GMA Sparkle stars Paul Salas and Shuvee Etrata.
Friday features Youth Talent Day, a Dance Showdown, Glow Party and Rochelle Pangilinan, while Monday shifts toward a Zumba Masterclass and Market Day.
You can catch Filipino and local bands including Cookies N Cream Band, Edward’s Factory, Gumamela Band, Panakip Butas, Pasalubong Band, Samasama Band and Sunrays Band during Fiesta Rock.
Dance groups will also showcase traditional Filipino styles alongside contemporary routines, giving you a look at how heritage and newer creative influences meet on the same stage.
Taste of the Philippines:
Food is a major part of the weekend. More than 15 vendors will serve Filipino dishes, with each asked to create a menu specifically for Fiesta Filipino.
So you can expect the food to be more than a side attraction. It is part of how the festival tells its cultural story.
You can dig into sizzling sisig, crispy lechon, siomai and other Filipino favourites from Sisig Eh!, Gershom, Mia’s Lechon and Siomai Queen.
Other vendors include Chopstix Filipino Restaurant, Manila’s Finest, The Burrito, Macao Imperial Tea, Hungry the Beast, Happee Peeps, Chiz Corner, Amihan Grill and Bakeshop, Fusion Box, Fantasy Donut and Chow Keni.
More Family Fun:
Beyond the stage, you can explore cultural exhibits, play nostalgic Filipino games at the Playseum Corner, join family Zumba sessions, dance to Filipino DJ sets, and take part in games and prize activities.
Fiesta Filipino is run by a 100 per cent volunteer-driven, not-for-profit community organization, with year-round programming focused on Filipino music, arts, food and performances.
