Valentine’s Day is around the corner and Amazon Canada has ranked Canadian cities according to the purchases of romance novels (both print and Kindle editions), romantic comedies, relationship books, jewellery and sexual wellness products.
Fort McMurray snagged the top spot from Victoria. The British Columbia Capital was which topped Amazon Canada’s list of Most Romantic Cities for the last seven years. The No. 2 and No. 3 spots went to Toronto and Yellowknife. Residents of Western citis demonstrated their flair for romance, 12 of the top 20 cities in the list are from Alberta and British Columbia.
The eleventh annual ranking was compiled by comparing sales data from January 1, 2019 to January 1, 2020 on a per capita basis in cities with more than 20,000 residents.
