Enjoy Free/Discounted Admission to Provincial and Territorial Museums (List) This Summer

The Canada Strong Pass initiative, aimed at making cultural experiences more accessible, has expanded to include 86 provincial and territorial museums and galleries.

The announcement was made by Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages.

Under the program, participating provincial and territorial museums will offer free admission to children aged 17 and under and a 50% discount for youth aged 18 to 24. These benefits apply until September 2, 2025. The initiative does not require registration or a physical pass; visitors can access the discounts by arriving at participating venues.

The Canada Strong Pass also includes national museums, the National Battlefields Commission, Parks Canada sites, and VIA Rail. At Parks Canada locations, all visitors receive free entry, with a 25% discount on camping for youth. VIA Rail offers free travel for children accompanied by an adult and a 25% fare reduction for youth.
