Ontario government has announced free admission to more than 100 Ontario Parks and free fishing this Father’s Day weekend.
On June 19 and 20, 2021, Canadians can enjoy fishing Ontario-wide fishing without having to purchase a licence or carry an Outdoors Card. You will still have to follow all fishing regulations including licence catch limits.
The province is also offering free day-use permits at more than 100 Ontario Parks on Sunday, June 20, 2021. To guarantee access to 17 select popular provincial parks, book a daily vehicle permit in advance of your visit.
The Ontario government had earlier announced free day-use admission at 115 provincial parks from Monday to Thursday until September 2, 2021.
Canadian residents can fish in Ontario without buying a fishing licence four times a year – Family Day weekend, Mother’s Day Weekend, Father Day weekend and National Fishing Week in July.
