This event offers an opportunity to witness the total eclipse, a moment when the moon fully obscures the sun, casting a fleeting shadow and turning day into an eerie twilight.

The gates of Tim Hortons Field will open at 1:00 p.m., setting the stage for an afternoon where the moon and sun dance in the sky, with the partial eclipse commencing at 2:03 pm., reaching totality between 3:18 p.m. and 3:20 p.m., and concluding by 4:31 p.m.

To ensure a safe viewing experience, all ticket holders will be provided with solar eclipse glasses upon entry, with tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In a gesture of community spirit and to enhance the experience, attendees will be treated to complimentary Dark Roast coffee courtesy of Tim Horton.

Hamilton residents are encouraged to participate in this astronomical event from the comfort of their homes, allowing visitors better access to the designated viewing areas.

To accommodate the expected influx of eclipse enthusiasts, complimentary parking has been arranged off-site, with Lot E at 23 Chapple Street, Hamilton, among the designated spots, merely a short stroll from the excitement at the stadium.

Concession stands will be operational for the duration of the event, enhancing the experience with refreshments.

The next total solar eclipse visible in Canada will not occur until 2044 (Western Canada), highlighting the uniqueness of the 2024 event and the importance of seizing this rare opportunity.
