Burlington’s VegFest is back, bigger and better for its second year, championing the manifold advantages of veganism.

This event is a testament to the growing movement of compassionate and sustainable living. Whether you’re a seasoned vegan or just intrigued by plant-based lifestyles, this gathering promises a wholesome day of learning, indulging, and celebrating.
A plethora of vendors will grace the festival, including prominent names like Fairly Frosted Bakery, Peas + Thank You, RicherEarth Vegan Eats Inc., Fresh Coconuts Toronto, Mexhico Restaurant, Ital Vital Restaurant, among many others. From delectable vegan eats to sustainable merchandise, there’s something for everyone.
Entertainment and talks regarding vegan lifestyleis set to amplify the festival’s ambiance. Kick-starting with an acknowledgment of the land by MC Varun Virlan, the day continues with an array of speakers and performers. Highlights include discussions on animal rights by Liberal MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith, Dr. Muzammil Ahmad’s vegan journey, and insights into cancer prevention through plant-based nutrition by Dr. Zahra Kassam. The lineup promises a mix of enlightenment, music, and personal stories, culminating in closing words from Lori Croonen, the Lead BVF organizer.
The VegFest takes place on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the picturesque Burloak Waterfront Park, located at 5420 Lakeshore Rd, Burlington.
While parking at the venue is limited, the organizers have ensured convenience for all. An additional 150 parking spots are available at the Lakeside Shopping Village, directly opposite the park. Alternatively, attendees can utilize the free shuttle bus service that operates from the Appleby GO Station to the festival venue throughout the day, making transportation hassle-free.
