GoFundMe has released its Annual Giving Report for the year 2021.
The report highlights how the global GoFundMe community supports those in need.
The fundraising site has also listed the top most generous cities in Canada. The list is based on the number of donations per capita.
North Vancouver took the top spot as the most generous Canadian city, while Burlington and Vancouver came in second and third positions respectively.

The list may not seem surprising as it was a historic year for B.C, which was dominated by wildfires and flooding.
Go Fund Me says one in seven Canadians made a donation on the fundraising platform this year.
According to the report, Ireland was the most generous country per capita for the third year in a row and the most generous person on GoFundMe made 434 donations in 2021.
