The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival is heading to Erindale Park in Mississauga this September, bringing three days of stand-up, food trucks, drinks, local entertainment, and what they describe as festival surprises.
Across four curated shows, the summer festival lineup blends award-winning headliners with comics who have built strong followings online and on tour.
Friday evening, September 11, 2026, features John Mulaney alongside Nick Kroll, Mike Birbiglia and Fred Armisen. Mulaney, a four-time Emmy winner, recently hosted and executive produced Netflix’s Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney, following Everybody’s in LA. He is currently touring John Mulaney: Mister Whatever and is set to appear in the upcoming film Madden. Birbiglia, Kroll and Armisen round out the night with backgrounds that stretch across comedy, acting, writing and production.
Saturday afternoon, September 12, shifts tone with Adam Ray’s Dr. Phil Live, a show that has drawn more than 50 million online views and a Netflix special. Ray is joined by Ms. Pat, named one of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch” in 2019, and T.J. Miller, whose specials include Meticulously Ridiculous (HBO) and No Real Reason (Comedy Central).
Sunday afternoon, September 13, brings Matt Mathews, who began stand-up in 2022 and has since headlined sold-out tours, and Jordan Jensen, whose Netflix special Take Me With You recently debuted. Katherine Blanford, known for her viral Don’t Tell Comedy set and appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, also appears.
The festival closes Sunday evening with Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng, joined by Michael Kosta. Minhaj, a Peabody Award winner, is known for Patriot Act and his latest Netflix special Off With His Head. Chieng’s 2024 special Love to Hate It was named New York Times Comedy Special of the Year. Kosta, a host on The Daily Show, also has a Comedy Central special streaming on Paramount+ and YouTube.
First introduced in Edmonton in 2021 as a COVID-safe gathering, the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival has grown year by year, expanding into additional cities across Canada and the United States. In addition to Mississauga, the outdoor event is set to return to Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, Calgary, Vancouver, and Spokane (Washington).
Weekend passes start at $249. Presale for the day pass begins February 19 at 8 a.m. EST.
