Hamilton’s main event venue has a new name: TD Coliseum. The announcement comes as part of a new naming rights deal between Oak View Group (OVG) and TD Bank Group, with the revamped venue scheduled to open its doors in late 2025.
The arena is currently undergoing a major transformation. Once complete, it will seat 18,000 and play host to everything from concerts and sports to trade shows and community events.
Upgrades include a redesigned exterior, improved acoustics, better sightlines, and faster food and drink service through touchless tech.
Some big names are already booked. Andrea Bocelli is scheduled for December 9, followed by Brad Paisley on December 12. The 55th annual JUNO Awards will also be held there next March.
Inside the venue, visitors can expect a new dining option: The Iron Cow Public House, led by chef Matty Matheson, which will be open both during and outside of events.
According to OVG CEO Tim Leiweke, the partnership with TD isn’t just about naming rights—it’s a long-term investment in the community and in Hamilton’s future as a cultural and entertainment hub.
TD’s Group President Raymond Chun echoed that sentiment, saying the deal reflects a broader commitment to making the venue a welcoming, inclusive place for all.
Live Nation Canada is also on board, helping to bring top-tier acts from around the world to the venue. Chairman Riley O’Connor called the new TD Coliseum a “next chapter” for live music in the region.
Beyond the seating bowl, the venue is getting improvements behind the scenes, too—upgraded artist spaces, modern production areas, and enhanced digital infrastructure are all part of the plan.
Premium suites and lounges are being designed to cater to a wide range of audience tastes, aiming to create more social and comfortable viewing experiences.
