Downtown St. John’s is gearing up for a lively afternoon on May 11 as the East Coast Music Association brings the ECMA Fan Fest to George Street.
From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the event will feature a trio of standout East Coast performers—Rachel Cousins, Dee Dee Austin, and Neon Dreams—in a free, family-friendly outdoor show.
The concert, supported by Dairy Farmers of Canada, promises more than just music. Fans can enjoy live performances, artist meet-and-greets, and complimentary snacks and drinks made with 100% Canadian milk—all set against the backdrop of one of the city’s most iconic streets.
Headlining the event is Newfoundland’s own Rachel Cousins. Known for her emotional lyrics and genre-spanning sound, Cousins has built a strong following with her compelling voice and commanding stage presence.
Seventeen-year-old Dee Dee Austin from Nova Scotia will also take the stage. A proud Mi’kmaq artist, Austin has already picked up major recognition, including Indigenous Artist of the Year and New Artist Recording of the Year from Music Nova Scotia. She recently made waves nationally after earning a Golden Buzzer on Canada’s Got Talent from judge Howie Mandel.
Also returning to Fan Fest are JUNO Award winners Neon Dreams. The Nova Scotia duo are known for fusing pop, rock, EDM, and reggae into a sound that keeps fans coming back. Their energetic shows and heartfelt lyrics have made them a staple on the Canadian music scene.
ECMA Fan Fest is part of a larger celebration of East Coast talent during the East Coast Music Awards Festival scheduled for Wednesday, May 7 to Sunday, May 11.
